Gela Guralia is a male singer with a highly unusual and unique voice called tenor altino.

Gela A. Guralia was born on 22 December 1980 in Poti, Georgia. Back in his childhood he was notable for his singing, which was noticed by the kinder garden principal, so she decided to draw Gela’s mother’s attention to his talent. At the age of 5 he performed for the first time in his life from the stage of the local theatre in his hometown. Afterwards he was singing in the church choir, the “White seagull” band and the folk music group “Fazisi”.

At school Gela was learning with ease. He became interested in chemistry at high school and won a national chemistry competition. As for social life, Gela was elected as a member of the alternative parliament of Georgia, where he was dealing with children and young people related issues. After school graduation he got accepted to the chemistry department of the Tbilisi State University, where he has been studying with a great pleasure for the next three years. However, when Gela faced a hard choice between science and music, the answer came to him immediately – his heart belonged to music.

In 2004 Gela along with his musical band decided to move to Moscow. For five years he has been singing in the restaurants, performing an exclusive program but always thinking for his bigger dreams. In 2008 Gela finally realized that he needed to change the direction of his work. He came back to Georgia for good as he thought at that moment to start his solo career, produce and promote his first album. However, all these was not meant to happen.

It was a lucky coincidence that he turned on the TV on The Voice Russia. Gela was impressed by the live music, orchestra and young creative mind… He sent his records from Tbilisi and got the invitation to attend the audition. September 20, 2013 - Gela for the first time appeared on the air. The unusual artist’s performance drew a lot of attention, and this level of attention was only increasing from round to round, all the way to the final. By the end of the project Gela became one of the most recognized and popular participants of the competition. His unique tenor altino voice, unforgettable style of performance, his kindness and humbleness left excited millions of hearts.

After the end of the show Gela has started a big concert tour in Russia which has brought him to unbelievable success. In 2014 he releases a music video from his debut album “Dream of me”.
